Diego: try bevmo.com - they stock Bohemia and I believe they would ship to California.

FYI, your email address came through looking like spam, I very nearly didn't allow your post. I block a ton of spam every day here -- please use a valid email address if you wish to post in the future.

Scott, great comment, and I'm glad I didn't lead you astray. Pairing a beer with food can bring out the better qualities in both the beer AND the food. Bohemia has a "corn" malt flavor, which I imagine tied nicely with your meal -- or vice versa.

BTW, I'm thinking about instituting a "Comment of the Week" -- so far your story easily takes the top spot this week!

I went to a Mexican restaurant in the thriving metropolis of downtown Bloomington and after scouring the menu I stumbled across the beer list. The name Bohemia caught my eye, and I remembered reading your review of it, "It's like a Corona, only better" and the comment, "Probably the best mexican beer I've had." I usually don't drink beer with my meals at restaurants but with this prior recommendation I couldn't pass it up. At first taste the beer tasted very similar to what I remember of a Corona, but after the flavor of my beef burrito and chicken enchilada mixed with the Bohemia in my mouth, I couldn't stop talking about how good the beer tasted. It amazes me how much of a difference the simple act of sharing your taste buds with another substance makes in the accumulative taste of the beer. This could be for the positive or negative, depending on the beer. And for Bohemia and Mexican food, it is most definitely a positive.
