Negra Modelo
ByNote: This post was written on Saturday, back dated to continue the time line properly.
Negra Modelo is my “go to” beer at a Mexican restaurant. It has a yeasty complexity which isn’t bad, and you get to pick at the foil covering the bottle’s neck while you drink the beer. Entertainment and refreshment at the same time.
And there was plenty of entertainment Friday night. I drank the beer at the infamous Cabo Wabo Cantina. It was a good time, which I can remember clearly even after several tequila shots.

Lime usually accompanies my Mexican beer, but I tried to skip the lime this time. Despite the dark bottle, I think I got a skunky beer. So in went the lime to cover up the bitterness that was turning my tongue.
I hoped to avoid Negra Modelo during this trip, simply because I wanted to try something new. With any luck, I should have something unique delivered later today.

You boys were certainly very dedicated in your tequila tasting that evening.
